Dana’s Ireland DVD is a stunning collection of contemporary and traditional Irish songs, filmed with the beautiful backdrop of Ireland, with sights and scenes you'll love to visit over and over again. The internationally loved “Danny Boy” has a special relevance for Dana, because of its close association with her home town of Derry, in the North of Ireland. For this reason, Dana was filmed singing “Danny Boy” at Grianan of Aileach (Greenan Fort) an ancient stone ringed fort dating from the 6th century, situated just outside the city of Derry in County Donegal. “Come back Paddy Reilly to Ballyjamesduff” penned by Percy French, was filmed in an old stone cottage untouched for over a hundred years, where the elderly farmer allowed her to sip tea from a china cup owned by his great grandmother. Another favourite Percy French song, “The Mountains of Mourne”, tells of the longing of an Irish immigrant to return to his beloved homeland. See Dana sing this heart-touching song in Newcastle, County Down, where the Mountains of Mourne literally do “sweep down to the sea”. There are many other memorable sights and sounds. Included is your own FREE CD of Dana's popular album of the same name, which features songs from the DVD and others, including “When Irish eyes are smiling”, “Forty Shades of Green”, and many more.
